Volunteering

Volunteers are a valuable asset to our school, our students, and our teachers and staff, and ensure the success of many of our extra-curricular activities. Parents and parish community members are encouraged to participate in volunteering programs that include a variety of activities including:

Planned Giving

As stewards of the Catholic Faith, we share a responsibility in making our Church and school true communities of faith and service. This responsibility includes providing financial support now and in the future. Planned giving is an opportunity to leave a Legacy of Faith to the Church.

The Adopt-a-Student Fund exists to help families affected by temporary unemployment, disability, medical bills, or family tragedies to afford Catholic education for their children.

Good Search/Good Shop

Thanks to people who have signed up for GoodSearch/GoodShop, Holy Family School has already received nearly $600 as a result of their participation in the GoodSearch/GoodShop program.

To make this year’s check even bigger, sign up now if you haven’t already. If you are already a supporter, don’t forget to use GoodSearch as your search engine; before buying anything online, link to the merchant from the GoodShop portal. A GoodShop app is also available for the iPhone and iPad users.

After you register you will receive a confirmation email. Once you sign in – Go to your name and in the drop down menu select Cause and type in Holy Family Parish School – Peoria. This will setup your account so that the donations will go to our school.

The majority of the money will be raised from shopping on GoodShop. Each store listed in GoodShop donates a portion of each sale to our school. This donation ranges from 0.5% to 7.5% of the purchase, so think of us as you start your holiday shopping. Many of the shops also offer coupons and other promotions to you on top of the donation that the school receives. Each time you use GoodSearch to search the internet we will receive 1¢. This all counts up!!

To see if the store is listed in GoodShop, enter a store name such as Amazon in the search box at the top. Click search. You’ll see that Amazon contributes 1.5% of your online purchase to Holy Family School if you link to Amazon through the GoodShop site. Do the same for any other online store where you normally shop. There are over 5000 stores to choose from. This is a win/win program. You shop at your regular stores and they donate to Holy Family.

Scrip
Scrip is a gift card program that can be used at hundreds of retailers. Buying these cards in bulk means we get discounts, which turn into rebates for the school. Family profits can be used to offset tuition fees. Forms are sent home in Family Folders at the end of the week.
