Athletics

Athletics has been an important part of our tradition for over 55 years and our teams have excelled in all sports and showed a tradition of great sportsmanship. We are current members of the IESA and take part in all state-run tournaments. We hope that your son/daughter has a memorable and enjoyable athletic experience.

Go Crusaders!

Thank you, everyone, for your patience as I begin as Athletic Director. It is taking just a moment as I sort through all the paperwork, requirements, and schedules that we have to work through, but I wanted to update everyone on where we stand.

We are behind a bit on girls’ basketball and I am afraid that we’ve missed the window to have a season this year. However, if we can all pull together, I am optimistic that we’ll be able to get things in order for a boys’ basketball season. If there is enough interest, I would also like to consider a mixed gender team for that season. We will need help with coaches, assistant coaches, concessions, and other help for the games, so please show interest in the forms that are sent out. All those hours can go towards your volunteer hours for the school and you do not need to have a child participating in any sports to be a part of the Athletics program.

I also hope that we can continue with our cheerleading program this year and I will be in touch in the future for that.

I am also looking for those interested to be on the Athletics Committee. The Athletics Committee is an advisory board that helps the Athletic Department with decisions regarding purchases, sports, involvement, and to help plan for events. I hope to meet with them once a month.

Please know that I am always available through text or email. I am excited to work with you all on providing our children with a healthy athletics program. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns that you may have.

In Christ,
Phillip Lee
Athletic Director
