It brings me great joy in welcoming you to Holy Family Parish School. A Holy Family School education prides itself in academic excellence enhanced with traditional Catholic values. Holy Family creates a safe, loving environment that encourages students to believe in their capabilities and to work toward their potential.
The curriculum at Holy Family is based on developing the whole student. We as Catholic educators will not only expect academic excellence, but we will teach the principles that have been articulated in the tradition of Catholic social teachings. Our core curriculum is complemented by enriched programs. Technology, dance, drama, music, world language, and athletic programs add to the diversity of our students’ experiences and prepare the individual for an ever-changing world in which powerful, just thinking is not only a habit but a way of life.
Holy Family also has the proud distinction of being accredited by the North Central Accreditation Association.
As Archbishop Fulton John Sheen stated, “Believe in the incredible, and you can do the impossible.” Holy Family Parish School believes in the incredible, and we do the impossible!
Sincerely,
Trina Schmidt, Principal

Some people are lucky enough to know their calling from day one. For me it was to become a teacher, so that is exactly what I did. After graduating from Murray State University, I started my teaching career in my hometown, Washington, Illinois. During my tenure in Washington, I also received a Masters of Educational Administration from Illinois State University. I am currently the principal of Holy Family School. Being a part of the lives of the beautiful children of Holy Family is a joy. In the summertime, after the final bell rings, my husband, two children, two Boston terriers, and I head north for Minnesota. After hearing the first call of the loon, my battery begins to recharge and before you know it, Holy Family’s opening bell is about to ring!
