I am very excited to be a part of such a caring and talented group at Holy Family. I earned my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education and my Masters in Special Education from Northern Illinois University. I have taught just about every grade, from preschool all the way through high school, either as a regular or special educator. My love of children and teaching has led me to continually explore new methods that ignite the minds of students. Currently, I received a scholarship to train in the Orton-Gillingham methods to remediate deficits for those who struggle with reading. Additionally, I tutor students privately and teach private lessons in art and French. From a Catholic family, I am the seventh out of twelve children and I attended St. Patrick's School and Church in LaSalle, Illinois. In my spare time, I enjoy painting and swimming. My husband, Ron, and I enjoy visiting our daughter, Gina, in Los Angeles. You will also find us outside grilling our dinner, even in the bitter cold of winter.

I grew up in Peoria and graduated from the Academy of Our Lady. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Quincy College. My husband Bill and I have three boys. Before teaching fourth grade, I taught computer and second grade at Holy Family. I also teach Language Arts to fifth grade students. All students are encouraged to think of themselves as readers and writers. I enjoy being part of the journey as they discover what they can achieve. In my spare time, I like to read, volunteer, and spend time with family.

You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl! I grew up on a farm in Metamora, Illinois, with my nine brothers and sisters. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bradley University and hold a Masters degree in Religious Education from St. Thomas University in Houston, Texas. Before coming to Holy Family Parish School, I taught in several area Catholic schools. It has been a joy and a privilege. My Catholic faith and excitement & love of learning have been the driving forces in my life. I hope I impart these qualities to my students as they prepare for their futures. When I am not teaching, I love to take long walks in the country and watch the setting sun!
