This program is for three and early four-year-olds. Children will participate in activities that enhance age-appropriate spiritual, cognitive, social, and physical development. The setting is a warm environment with supportive teachers who encourage and welcome every child.

I have lived in Peoria all of my life. I graduated from the Academy of Our Lady High School and earned my Associate degree at Illinois Central College. I have also taken classes in Early Childhood Education. I am a member of Holy Family Parish, and my three children graduated from Holy Family Parish School. I helped to start a very unique kindergarten program as well as the current preschool program at Holy Family. I love teaching God's little ones and sharing my creativity and enthusiasm with them.

I am a graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education.  My husband, daughter, and I live in Peoria and are members of Holy Family Parish.  My daughter attended Holy Family Parish School, and during that time I was able to volunteer for various school functions and organizations.  This led to a job in the school cafeteria and then as a teacher assistant.  I am currently assisting in three-year-old preschool.  I love being a part of this parish and school community.

Our four to five-year-old program is intended to ensure that the children are building a strong foundation for kindergarten. The emphasis shifts toward more academic areas of early literacy and math skills. Special concern is given to the small motor skills of pre-writing and cutting.

I grew up in Effingham, Illinois and attended St. Anthony of Padua school for my K-12 Education. I went on to attend Millikin University and obtained two, 4-year degrees in Music and Business. I graduated from Millikin University and became the Music Teacher at St. Teresa School in Decatur, Illinois where I taught for 3 years. I taught preschool in the afternoons at Mt. Zion during college and all through my years at St. Teresa gaining me 6 years total preschool teaching experience. I then went back to college to obtain a Master's Degree with Certification in Elementary Education. I moved to Peoria in 2010 when my husband was promoted and transferred with his company. I took a part-time job at St. Joeseph in Pekin, Illinois until I could find something full-time. I was so excited to find a position here at Holy Family School. I fit right in, and I like to consider Holy Family my new home. My son Aydon now attends Holy Family and comes home each day with papers, stories, and a big smile. We both LOVE it!

I have lived in Peoria since 1994.  My husband and I have three children.  Two of them graduated from Holy Family and our youngest is currently a student here.  We have been members of Holy Family Parish since 1994.  I worked for twenty years in the retail industry and then decided to change careers.  I have worked as a teacher assistant in the Pre-K room since 2007.  I am currently attending classes at ICC to pursue a degree in Child Development with an emphasis on Early Childhood.  I have been actively involved as a volunteer at Holy Family, serving as a Girl Scout leader, Home & School president, fundraiser chair, and a volleyball coach.
