Virtues Development
The teachers in the Early Childhood program at Holy Family recognize that parents are each child's first and most important teachers. We offer both full and half-day early childhood educational programs that are intended to support what children are learning at home. We strive to meet the developmental needs of three, four, and five-year-old children, incorporating Illinois State Standards into our learning goals.
Pre-kindergarten is working on filling our virtues buckets this year. Each student in our class has colored a bucket to hold his/her virtues. We are learning patience, thankfulness, responsibility, honesty, helpfulness, faithfulness, friendship, and generosity throughout the year. By the end of the year , our buckets will be full of virtues, and we will have a better understanding of the virtues through Bible lessons, crafts, media presentations, books, and practice. Our class is excited to see our buckets fill up, and everyone is already showing their understanding of what each of our virtues means. It will be a virtue-filled year backed by our ABC's, shapes, and numbers. We can hardly wait to fill our buckets!
